Our Worship Arts ministry is a vibrant, exciting place to serve the Lord here at The Heights. We are a team of worship leaders who love one another, strive for excellence, and are committed to leading our congregation in worshiping the Lord Jesus Christ in spirit and truth.

Along with opportunities to sing and play an instrument at The Heights, we also use creative arts such as acting and dance to express our awe and honor for the Lord. Christmas and Easter are always exciting times for our ministry to get as many people involved as possible in telling His story through drama, dance, imagery and song. Our ultimate desire is to glorify God and draw people close to Him through praise and celebration. Won’t you join us?

We have found that as we reach our community for Christ in this diverse culture, believers come into the church desiring to express their worship in a way that is relevant and a reflection of who they are in Christ. Therefore, our worship services go in more than one direction stylistically; however, the message always remains the same.

At our Colonial Heights campus, we have three services with two different styles.

Our Celebration services (8:20 am & 9:45 am) include our multi-generational Choir, Orchestra and Praise Team. The music selection in these services is a blend of contemporary praise and worship songs, current anthems and special music. These services appeal to a wide-range of our congregation from young families to our older generation. You’ll enjoy an uplifting and joyous time of worship. Our Mosaic service (11:15 am)  includes a band with a more driving musical style. You’ll find the music upbeat with mostly familiar songs you can hear on contemporary Christian radio. Though this service is mostly attractive to our younger generation (you’ll find a number of  college students, young adults, and high school students here), this worship is for all ages. The worshipful atmosphere in this service is enhanced by beautiful environmental lighting and a touch of haze; all designed for reflection and praise. Click here to see our weekly worship set lists and listen via Spotify.

At our Midlothian campus, we currently have one service. (10 am) This campus is located in a local movie theater and led by a Campus Pastor. It includes a live worship band and a big screen projection of that Sunday morning’s sermon by our Senior Pastor. This service is growing and seems to be drawing a wide range of people from the community; young, old, singles, couples, families are all coming. The atmosphere, though in a theater, is quite warm and inviting. The music includes a variety of current and familiar praise choruses selected to inspire and encourage. We are excited to see how the Lord will use our ministry at this new location.
