Support Groups

A central feature of the Christian gospel is acknowledging what you are not able to do on your own. That is not just a statement for what it means to become a Christian – it colors our entire Christian walk. The Support Groups at The Heights exist to come along side people in their place of need: whether that is the loss of a loved one, marriage issues, addiction, “hurts, habits or hang-ups,” these ministries offer a community to walk with you and pursue healing in the time of need.

Support Groups Offered

Celebrate Recovery

The Celebrate Recovery program involves eight principles from the beatitudes of the New Testament, and 12 biblical steps to recovery. This program is distinctly Christian, uncompromisingly biblical, and proven to work within the church. It has clearly brought people together to discover a new level of care, acceptance, trust, and grace. For those who seek to mature spiritually, making better decisions that will help them become Christ-like in character. It is designed as a program to help those struggling with hurts, habits, and hang-ups by showing them the loving power of Jesus Christ through a recovery process. We meet on Mondays at 7pm in the Youth Center (Dinner at 6pm).

DivorceCare

If you are divorced, currently separated, or considering divorce this class is for you. Most people will tell you that separation and divorce are the most painful and stressful experiences they’ve ever faced. It’s a confusing time when you feel isolated and have lots of questions about issues you’ve never faced before. DivorceCare meets weekly on Monday nights from 6-8pm here at church to help you face these challenges and move toward rebuilding your life. The format for the course is video and discussion driven. This is an open class meaning you are free to begin at any time during the series. Many people join us throughout the 13 weeks and just attend the classes they may have missed when the next session begins.
