“Living in Community” and “A Culture of Serving” are more than catchy phrases. These core values have long been a part of who we are as a church. At The Heights, we believe that “Life is Better Connected”. Connected to God, to each other, and to the community around us.

Through outreach events and by partnering with groups like the Ettrick Food Bank and Mercy Mall we work to be a light in our local communities. The idea that God’s kindness leads people to repentance and faith in Him is what drives us to reach out.

The 804 area code is anchored by the city of Richmond and includes most of the metropolitan area. This is the area where the majority of us live, work, and play. It is our local mission field.

Churchwide Workday, Poplar Lawn Park

On Saturday, July 29, The Heights will partner with Mount Olivet Baptist Church to show love to the community by performing light maintenance, raking, mowing, trimming, trash pick-up, and overall beautification of Poplar Lawn Park in Petersburg. The two churches working together hope to witness to our community so that Christ is exalted and other churches are encouraged to do the same. This workday is in preparation for the Community Festival in the park on Saturday, August 19, that will be hosted by our two churches. Register here to be part of the workday!
